Group Runs

Tuesdays at 5:30 PM: Jupiter Ridge Natural Area

Address: 1800 US-1, Jupiter, FL 33477 (Just south of Ocean Way on the west side of US 1, across from Driftwood Plaza)

HILL REPEATS: Meet in the main parking lot. There are no restrooms (Carlin Park is only a few minutes away to the East. Stop on the way there!!) We will do an easy run for about a mile on our way to the main hill. We will run hill repeats for 30-45 minutes on Mt. Ridge. We will then do an easy run back to the parking lot.

Saturdays at 6 AM: Loggerhead Park

Address: 14200 U.S. Hwy 1, Juno Beach, FL 33408 (Turn east onto Erikson Way from US 1, just North of Donald Ross Rd.)

EASY LONG RUN: Meet in the main parking lot in front of the restrooms. Wear a blinky light and headlamp for the first hour as it will be dark! There are water stops every two miles, or bring your own. We will run north towards the Jupiter Inlet (~ 4 ½ miles), turn around and head back (Total distance may vary from week to week.). Our pace is usually in the 9-11 minutes-per-mile range, and we will wait every mile or so for slower runners, if necessary. Runners can turn-around anytime they’d like to head back to their car.

Wednesdays at 5:30 PM: Riverbend Park (Picnic Island)

Address: 9060 W Indiantown Rd, Jupiter, FL 33478 (Once in the park, follow the signs to the River Pavilion on Picnic Island, in the back.)

Turn by Turn Directions

  1. After entering the park, drive straight back for approximately ⅔ of a mile (until you can’t go any further).
  2. Turn left over a small bridge and make an immediate right onto Picnic Island (there will be a sign pointing to the right as the loop is one-way).
  3. Take your first left and head straight towards the large River Pavilion (you will pass restrooms on your left). If you miss the turn just keep going as the road makes a loop.
  4. Turn left to park on the side of the road near the pavilion and look for a single picnic table under a small tiki hut (to the left of the River Pavilion as you face it.)

RUNNING CLINIC: Bring your smartphone and earbuds/headphones. Meet at the picnic table under a tiki hut and relax while everyone arrives. Refreshments will be provided!  After I give some instructions on how to access the workouts you’ll select the one you’d like to do.

We’ll start out as a group doing a warm-up walk for the first half mile, and then you will complete your workout independently (using your phone and headphones) on a 2- or 3-mile loop (maps and guidance will be provided). Plan on walking the final half-mile back as a cool down, then meet back at the picnic table.

I will run/walk with participants along the way and try to shoot video of each person at least once. Afterwards, I’ll send you a copy of your video along with some insights about your running form.
